"We were made very welcome by the owner, the cottage was everything we could of wanted with very peaceful and relaxing surroundings. It was only a 20 minute drive to Inverness and all the attractions, we wish we had spent more than 4 days there."

"Ivy Hatch was lovely and much larger than the internal photos suggest. A beautiful location with deer and horses on the grounds, we saw the deer from the kitchen window on our first morning! Safe and secure for the dog to run around the grounds and a great location for visiting the local sights. The owner of the cottage makes you feel relaxed and at home from the moment you arrive - we have already been looking at booking again for later in the year! "

About Teanassie Cottages

In the beautiful Beauly Valley, lying in grounds once part of a deer park, where a small herd and horses still graze, this pair of recently renovated cottages offers a very comfortable base from which to explore the locality. Adjacent to the owner's home, they are just 4 miles from the flower-bedecked town of Beauly's interesting shops and choice of restaurants. The fish lift at Aigas Dam is within walking distance. Glen Affric, with dramatic waterfalls and almost endless freedom to roam, is a 30 minute drive, whilst Loch Ness and Urquart Castle are a similar distance. Golf (9 hole) 1 mile. Shop and pub 4 miles.

Stretching almost from Inverness to Fort William, the famous Loch Ness is the defining feature of this Highland county, yours to explore with one of our holiday cottages in Inverness-shire.

Inverness is known as the capital of the Highlands and is one of Scotland’s fastest growing towns. It also has some good pubs and restaurants. You can take a boat from here into Loch Ness – a great way to soak up the scenery. Loch Ness itself is most impressive and famous around the world for its legendary monster. Who knows, you may even spot it yourself on one of our Inverness-shire cottage holidays.

At the other end of Loch Ness stands Fort William, the largest town in the West Highlands, and a major centre for walking and other outdoor activities. Nearby is atmospheric Glen Coe and Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. If you’ve an interest in military history, do pay a visit to Fort George, a massive fortification built after the Jacobite rebellion in 1745. It features an impressive collection of arms and military equipment. Or, in complete contrast, there’s the Moray Firth Dolphin and Seal Visitor Centre in North Kessock.
