Within a short walk are restaurants, galleries, inns and shops, including a renowned local smokery and probably the best delicatessen in Norfolk. The delightful Georgian town of Holt (3½ miles) also boasts excellent shops, galleries and eating places. Blakeney and Morston offer seal watching boat trips, and there are RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Salthouse. Coastal and river walks, sailing and sea fishing can all be enjoyed locally. Sandy beaches at Sheringham and traditional seaside attractions at Cromer are easily accessible.

Taking a break in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk is the ideal way to explore this atmospheric and historic county. The coastline is the major attraction here, with miles of sandy beaches stretching from historic King’s Lynn all the way round to Great Yarmouth, famous for its Golden Mile and multitude of seaside attractions and entertainments. Cromer (noted for its crabs and pier), Sheringham and Hunstanton are also firm family favourites. If you prefer something quieter during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk, try the North Norfolk Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty and a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Venture inland and you’ll discover a gently rolling landscape dotted with flint cottages and ancient churches. The county town of Norwich is one of England’s best-preserved cities and is a joy to wander around. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral towering above the surrounding medieval streets. East of the city lie the Norfolk Broads, a vast expanse of interconnected lakes and waterways which has long been a firm favourite with sailors. Hire a boat for a day to see them at their best. Less well-known are the mysterious Brecks, a wilderness area of heaths and forests and one of the least-populated parts of the country.
