In a quiet location just yards from the sandy beach, this immaculate property is furnished with flair and enjoys sea views (pictured) from both its sitting room and bedroom. The perfect place to come and relax! Adjoining the owners' home, sharing their pretty gardens, it is within 500 yards of pubs, restaurants, shops and a sailing and watersports centre. Nearby Appledore boasts a Maritime Museum and craft shops. Boating and fishing trips, with day excursions to Lundy Island, operate from Bideford (3 miles). The adjacent Tarka Trail offers level coastal walking and cycling. Eden Project 1½ hours' drive.

Wild and rugged, Exmoor is great for walking, riding and cycling. This is Lorna Doone country, where farmers have battled the elements for centuries. The coastline here is truly spectacular and is a real highlight of our North Devon cottage holidays. Walk the Coastal Path, and you’ll be treated to stunning views of high cliffs dropping straight to the sea, or to small coves far below.

Beach lovers will also enjoy a cottage holiday here in North Devon. Resorts like Woolacombe and Saunton offer long stretches of sandy beach that are ideal for surfing and sailboarding. Clovelly is a real beauty spot, and very picturesque, while Appledore is a picture-perfect fishing village. Photographers take note. Ilfracombe is a more traditional seaside resort, but is not overly-commercialised, while the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth have an atmosphere all their own. Don’t miss the wonderful water-powered funicular railway here.
