"A very quiet location which is only 1/2 mile from the nearest main road - wonderful!"

"This cottage is the ideal 'chill out' place, ideal for anyone who just needs to switch off and completely unwind. The setting is so tranquil and the cottage is extremely comfortable, especially with a roaring log fire to sit by and the owners are lovely people who couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. All in all it was exactly what I thought it would be - a totally relaxing break that gave myself and my husband a wonderful chance to relax and recharge our batteries. No noise, no clubs just wonderful scenery and some terrific wildlife right outside the doors!"

"A lovely little cottage set in the middle of a Deer Park - great for getting away from it all. Lots of lovely walks on your doorstep and the seaside resorts is only a short drive away - and it was dog friendly which was a must have when we were looking for our holiday! "

About The Deer Park

Perfect for a relaxing break, these two comfortable, spacious and charming conversions enjoy spectacular views across a beautiful deer park grazed by Red and Fallow deer, a wildlife haven just 6 miles from the lovely north Norfolk coast. The park boasts a 14 acre fishing and bird watching lake and a network of footpaths to explore – there is even an excellent restaurant within walking distance. Deer Park Cottage adjoins the owners' 18th century farmhouse, whilst Deer Park Lookout sits nearby, only 2 miles from Roughton village shop and Gunton's railway station, and 6 miles from Cromer's seaside attractions. Blickling and Felbrigg Halls (both N.T.) are nearby and the Broads are easily accessible.

The coastline is the major attraction here, with miles of sandy beaches stretching from historic King’s Lynn all the way round to Great Yarmouth, famous for its Golden Mile and multitude of seaside attractions and entertainments. Cromer (noted for its crabs and pier), Sheringham and Hunstanton are also firm family favourites. If you prefer something quieter during your stay in one of our holiday cottages in Norfolk, try the North Norfolk Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty and a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Venture inland and you’ll discover a gently rolling landscape dotted with flint cottages and ancient churches.

The county town of Norwich is one of England’s best-preserved cities and is a joy to wander around. Don’t miss a visit to the magnificent cathedral towering above the surrounding medieval streets. East of the city lie the Norfolk Broads, a vast expanse of interconnected lakes and waterways which has long been a firm favourite with sailors. Hire a boat for a day to see them at their best. Less
well-known are the mysterious Brecks, a wilderness area of heaths and forests and one of the least-populated parts of the country.
