Kittiwakes Holiday Cottage
On the banks of the River Rother (pictured), with boats passing at high tide, this very comfortable first floor apartment is ideally located a short stroll from the heart of the quaint town of Rye. One of the ancient Cinque Ports, its history evocatively depicted in a local 'Sound and Light Show', Rye also boasts a wealth of interesting shops and antique emporiums, galleries, restaurants and historic inns. Close by is the nature reserve at Rye Harbour also an excellent spot for fishing and sailing whilst a little further afield lie Battle Abbey, romantic Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter and Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens. Day trips by rail to France depart from Ashford, 20 miles. Shops and pubs 400 yards.
