Tantara Woodside Cottages - Barn Owl Cottage
n a peaceful woodside setting overlooking Ryedale towards the Yorkshire Wolds, this beautiful cluster of mellow stone barns has recently been converted into prestigious cottages boasting luxurious standards. From their professionally designed interiors – superb contemporary bathrooms, stylish kitchens with top of the range appliances, sumptuously furnished living areas and surround sound TV – to their hot tubs on all private decked areas and patios, they offer excellent holiday retreats.
Whilst each cottage enjoys its own private patio/garden, there are shared picnic and barbecue areas, a woodland play area for children, sited a small distance from the cottage courtyards.
Set amidst 100 acres of farmland and reached via a 400 yard tree lined avenue, they stand on the fringes of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park within a mile along a pretty country footpath of Pickering's cafés, restaurants, pubs, supermarket and interesting craft galleries (1¼ miles by road). The town also boasts the departure point of the steam train journey over the Heartbeat moorlands to Goathland (aka Aidensfield) as well as an ancient castle, modern swimming pool and the Flamingo Land theme park. Visitors at Tantara receive a 10% discount at Dalby Forest activity centre (5 miles) with quad bike trekking, archery, paintballing, climbing wall, and clay pigeon shooting
